Snowflakes That Stay on my Nose and Eyelashes

One of my favorite color combinations for the winter months are pairing light blue clothes with darker tones. This jeweled collar top from Kohl's was one of the best purchases I made last year. I've gotten so much wear out of this bad boy. Layering it with a light gray sweater makes the outfit more cozy without looking frumpy or tired. There is a fine line between cute comfy and hobo comfy. I am always freezing cold and don't tolerate extreme weather changes well, so instead of pulling on a sweatshirt and yoga pants I challenge myself to dress a little more presentable by layering comfy sweaters with more dressy button ups. I'm very picky with my sweaters but I can honestly say that I love this gray one... and it's on sale!!

Since my jewelry is basically built into my clothes for this outfit, I paired this look with simple earrings and my favorite watch from Target. Get the look, here:

Green, Gold & Gray

Fur vests, floppy hats, and long necklaces. Playing dress up is 10x more fun when it's socially acceptable to actually wear this combination out in public. When planning my outfits I tend to stick with my neutrals and build up from there. With today's post I layered not two, but three, of my favorite gold necklaces. I feel like the mixed stones in each necklace complements the others perfectly. Using my Lilly Pulitzer gold clutch reminds me of summer and how much I secretly hate being in cold weather. I love snow... but from afar ;)

These have been my favorite sunglasses of the year. They have put up a good fight with the pens and coins in the bottom of my purse but that doesn't mean a few scratches will tear me away from this baby!

Silver White Winters

Is it terrible that I honestly wasn't unhappy that it snowed this weekend??
I'm usually one to postpone holiday cheer until the very last possible second but this year I'm SO ready for the holidays to roll round. This has been a tough semester and I can't wait for my friends and boyfriend to be home for weeks at a time, rather than staying one weekend then having to leave again. Over the weekend I was able to pick up this gorgeous trench coat. I've been looking for the perfect one and my friend Jenna from the blog Rainy Days & Lattes spotted it for me at our local Plato's Closet.

For a pop of color I wore a red bow top from H&M and a puffy, black skirt I snatched on the clearance rack of Gap a few weekends ago. I love the eyelet detailing around the hem.
I don't think I'll ever get sick of nude colored heels. Something about elongating the legs and channeling Kate Middleton's style makes me feel so confident.

I'm loving the mixed colors in this trench. The black accents make it stand out against other trench coats I've seen and the material is almost like a water proof fabric - perfect for spring and next fall (since I guess winter came early for us here!). Trench coats are one of my favorite pieces to whip out of my closet. They can be layered heavily or worn by themselves. There are so many different colors and details that can be added to them. Here are some of my favorites...

Favorite Youtube Channels

This week I'm sharing my favorite Bloggers and Youtubers! My last post featured my favorite bloggers. I watch a huge variety of people on Youtube. It may seem like I just watch fashion and makeup videos but I really watch so many different channels actually. Here are just a few of my favorites...

One of my favorite joys in life is pranking people. My second favorite joy is watching someone else do it. I've been watching Jesse and Jeana's videos for years. My boyfriend and I have made it a tradition to only watch their videos when we're together so we basically have a marathon of their prank videos and their vlog videos for hours at a time. They're such a great couple and are an inspiration to so many people. They don't let youtube fame get to them and really love their fans. They are by far my favorite Youtubers of all time.

Allison's videos make me want to sit on a comfy bed, drink tea, smell candles, and read books all day. When I know my day is going to be hectic I know that I can have five minutes of peace and watch her videos while I get ready in the morning. Even though I don't have the same skin tone or hair color as her I can't stop watching her videos! She edits them so well and is so funny at describing products. She's very truthful and also does not let Youtube get to the best of her. Not sure how I ever found her channel but I am sure glad I did.

The first video I ever watched of his was his West Coast, Lana Del Rey cover. I can't even describe his voice because it's unlike anyone's that I've ever heard. His voice is so comforting. He has so much talent. I've watched many people on Youtube sing and I can tell he's going to go far. His voice is so rich and you can really hear his passion when he sings. My favorite uploads are
I Forgot Where We Were
Take you Away
If you like Ben Howard, you will love this guy.

This guy is hilarious. When I was waiting weeks for my camera to arrive I watched all of his videos on cool things to do with your DSLR and just a bunch of other great tips he shared. He's super blunt and witty and sarcastic all in one. He reviews tons of cameras and makes videos with his other friends too. His british accent makes it 10x more enjoyable to watch, too.

I could watch this guy all day. He is like the male version of Oprah. Whenever I need a pick me up or a boost of motivation I always watch Alex's videos. And I don't mean once. I mean I will repeatedly watch them in the span of a few days. I even listen to podcasts that he has been in. He is such a great speaker and is so successful. He has come from a life of nothing and has built this amazing life with his wife. They have a huge successful business and his videos center around motivational talks and how to have the best life you can live.

The first video I ever watched of Kassie's was her Why Your Skincare Routine Isn't Working video. From then on, I was hooked. Kassie's channel is one that I always turn to when I need advice on new foods to try, great skin care tips or even just a great laugh. She and her boyfriend, Terry, make hilarious short videos. Her content is quick and to-the-point while still explaining a lot of valuable information. I still find myself re-watching some older videos of hers from time to time and I love listening to her tips when I get ready in the morning.

Watching Leigh Ann's videos is like talking to your best friend. She's very informative about the products she uses. She gives really detailed tutorials and is always commenting back on her social media platforms. I have bought so many things because of her... Not sure if that's a good or bad thing ;) Her style is very much her own and you can definitely hear the passion in her voice when she rants about funny stories or a failed product. I've been a subscriber for almost 2 years and I don't think I'll ever get tired of her Friday Eve videos :)

Once again, if I listed all of my favorite Youtube channels I would be typing for a week straight. These are just some channels that are my all time favorites and that I always turn to for great content. I hope you have found some new channels to subscribe to, let me know of any channels you like that you think I should check out! :)

Favorite Bloggers

This week I'm doing something different with my posts - sharing the love and talking about all my favorite bloggers and youtubers! I find so much inspiration reading blogs not only for their content but there is something about reading blogs that makes people more personable. Blogs are great outlets for creativity and I love seeing everyone's content. Today's post talks about my favorite bloggers :)

I've been reading Elsie and Emma's blog since 2008. They have so many great people on their team that I'm blown away every single time I visit their site. Since their blog they've launched an iPhone app and a book and are successful on so many more platforms it's insane. They are so inspiring with their amazing DIYs and quirky sense of style. Definitely check out their material, you won't be disappointed :)

Although she signs her name, Liv, I will always call her Olivia. I've known this blogger since we were in elementary school. Isn't it funny when you know someone and then reconnect with them years later to find out you both are interested in the same things? She's such a great writer. Her posts are truthful and comedic and you can really tell she pours her whole heart into every post she writes. She really spends time writing her posts and she does such a huge variety of products that it's easy to find something you could be interested in. I always turn to her tumblr page when I need a product review.

I don't even know where to start. Her pictures look like something from a magazine. I can't even fathom that her IG pictures were taken on a phone. She really knows what she's doing on her social media and on her blog. Her adventures around England make me want to go back SO BAD. She has an amazing mix of girly yet trendy style and I drool over every pair of shoes and purse she owns. She owns my dream closet.

Kylie has so much great content. She's like a superhero. Nursing student by day and blogger by night. She has so much drive and so much passion for everything she does. I don't even know her that well yet she inspires me to study hard and put a 110% effort into blogging. She has some awesome recipes(I've tried the graham cracker chocolate chip cookies and I'm living proof that you will come out of that amazing food coma) and awesome outfit ideas! She gives great advice and her smile is contagious. I love her weekly round up posts where she shares funny or inspiring pictures and video clips. Kylie is one of my first blogger friends and we're collaborating again on a giveaway so keep your eyes peeled ;)

This girl is the epitome of goals. She just finished up every fashion blogger's dream internship at Nordstrom headquarters in Seattle. Sometimes I have to read her posts and then write mine because her writing is so full of life. When I read her posts it's like poetry hahaha (girl crush!! shh don't tell matt) Her outfits are phenomenal and I have so many of her outfits pinned on my boards. She's super sweet and I love that she takes the time out to reply to all her comments.

Okay so Jenna hasn't posted much content since her launch but she has many posts saved up that she will be sharing this week :) Her blog focuses on her two passions: politics and fashion. I love when bloggers share their true passions. It's what really defines them from everyone else. Jenna is my newest friend at my University. We have so many things in common it's almost scary. Jenna really understands what it takes to make a great blog. She's passionate about so many things and is going to share some amazing content. I can't wait to brag about her posts :) Check out the sidebar of her blog to see her weekly content schedule line up!

I found Nicole's blog through our mutual friend, Alex! Nicole has some awesome beauty and fashion posts. Her comments are witty and you can definitely see her dedication in her blog through the editing of her content. Another blogger that makes me want to be a better blogger! :) She has great pictures on Instagram too - I always wanna drop everything I'm doing and head to my nearest sephora to buy out the whole store ;)

Ugh.. I just want to be Amy. I get total hair envy every time I look at her pictures and her blog is phenomenal. The content is amazing, her layout makes me feel like a million bucks just reading through it.. Her style is simple yet sophisticated and she and her husband have the cutest couple pictures. I definitely turn to her blog whenever I need an outfit pick me up and boost of inspiration.

WHEW! That was everyone. Not really. I read so many blogs that there is no way that I could write about all of them. I tried to mix it up between all time favorites, new discoveries, and old friends :) I hope you have found new reading material and that you enjoy these bloggers as much as I do. Don't forget to follow them on all their social media and keep your banana eyelids peeled for my next post talking about my favorite Youtubers! :)
